Plastics granulate is made into sheeting with cast extrusion and processed further with thermoforming into, for example, profiled dimpled sheet, green roof matting, etc.
The two edge areas are trimmed to remove swollen areas that usually arise at the edges.
The Hellweg LSZ 150/100 edge strip granulator enables processing of these profiled sheet edge strips, an application area where feeding with conventional feeding equipment is problematic.
The LSZ Series can be provided with two drives.
Sheet edge strips are introduced via sensing arm that can be rotated on its bearings and that compensates for delays in feeding through oscillating movements. The euipment is switched on and off with an integrated sensing swich in order to prevent tearing of the edge strips.
A high-grade material without thermal degradation is produced, characterised by sharp edges, high homogeneity and a very low level of dust
